Introduction

BOKSS is one of the training bodies appointed by the Employees Retraining Board(ERB). With more than 20 years of experience in training and employment services, BOKSS offers a variety of courses every year and sets up centres in Wan Chai, Shau Kei Wan, Mong Kok, Yau Ma Tei and Cheung Sha Wan for convenience’s sake.

 

Through skills training and employment follow-up services provided under the "Manpower Development Scheme", we wish to assist those in need to enhance their working ability, self-confidence, adaptation and resilience capabilities, and also encourage them to make positive progress and lead a fruitful life. Also, we aim to keep pace with the latest social development trend and improve the service targets’ competitiveness in line with the market changes and needs.

 

 


Target and Service Areas

All eligible employees in Hong Kong (including new arrivals and ethnic minorities) aged 15 or above and with education attainment of sub-degree or below.

Service areas are territory-wide while our training centres are located in Wan Chai, Shau Kei Wan, Mong Kok, Yau Ma Tei and Cheung Sha Wan respectively

 


Course Content

BOKSS is appointed to hold a wide variety of training courses offered by ERB, including:

 

Placement-tied Courses:

Placement-tied courses on vocational and professional education and training are generally offered in full-time mode. Courses straddling different industry categories and aiming at equipping eligible trainees with skills required by the market are dedicated for the unemployed. Graduates will be provided with placement follow-up services to help them re-enter the job market.

"Skills Upgrading Scheme Plus" Courses:

"Skills Upgrading Scheme Plus" (SUS Plus) courses are part-time non-placement-tied courses provided to eligible clientele including the unemployed and in-service workers. Vocational and professional education and training straddling different industries are provided with the aim of enhancing the skills competency of practitioners and fostering their attainment of multi-dimensional skills. Non practitioners may also enroll in individual courses which provide basic knowledge of the industries. These courses aim to broaden their employment opportunities through training and facilitate their job mobility.

 

Generic Skills Training Courses:

Part-time non-placement-tied courses on training of transferable skills applicable in different industries including foundation skills (English, Putonghua, and IT Applications) are provided to eligible clientele including the unemployed and in-service workers, assisting them to acquire recognised qualifications and enhance their competitiveness.


 


Service Charges

Placement-tied Courses: Free of charge.

Non-placement-tied Courses ("Skills Upgrading Scheme Plus" Courses or Generic Skills Training Courses):

These courses are fee charging and fees payable are based on the amounts stipulated at the time of application.

9:00am – 1:00pm

2:00pm – 6:00pm

Closed on Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays
